Why I Like Avon Tires

I am writing in response to the comments concerning the Dunlop vs. Avon tires.

I ride 700 miles per week to and from work on a 1999 Valkyrie. I have ridden over 100,000 miles on my last 5 bikes (which were Gold Wings until this one)

I have tried several brands of tires including: Metzlers, Bridgestone, Michelins Continentals, Pirelli's. After experiencing premature tire wear and  tire failures, (3 to be exact, primarily Dunlop's in which their reply when contacted was: they are not responsible for under or over tire inflation, or riding conditions.) "You could really feel the support and appreciation for  buying their tires ?"

In 1996 I tried Avon tires after talking to the rep in Washington State and explaining my needs. I have found the Avon's to be reliable, handle well in all weather conditions, and get great mileage (16,000 to 18,000 miles per set.) I have never had any problems with any of their tires except a front wobble concern one time, in which they sent me a new tire completely free of charge including freight. Avon's concern was that I ride safe, and that their tires were 100% safe and dependable. There was no argument or debating about whether or not there might be a concern, they just wanted no doubt about their product. "Much more than I could ever say about Dunlop!"

I can't express my appreciation enough for Avon's product support, and concern to those of us who ride and use their product. If you want a safe reliable tire from a company who "wants to know" the results and concerns of their product, "AVON TYRE COMPANY" really is there for you and I couldn't be more satisfied if I were given a free set of tires from another company..

So good luck riders who read this comment and want to be safe and assure when riding they are in good hands with Avon..

 Sincerely,
