Don't be Tempted to Modify your Petcock
Don't even think of making your Valk gas turn
off manual! Some Honda idiot reversed the inner spring on the
valve and just about burned me up!
By reversing the spring and doing away with the vacuum line, gas will leak out
the right side after the spring
wears a hole in the diaphragm.
Gas will leak out onto the headers and garage when parked. Boom if you
have a gas water heater!
Called our Honda shop and all I got was "never heard of that" BS!
There is a small protruding round part on the
rear edge of the gas valve.
It is hollow and that is where the gas came out over night.
Five gallons right onto the floor after I closed the garage (back from a
ride) that is attached to our home.
The fumes about knocked my wife out when she opened our kitchen / garage door
the next morning.
My tank was empty!
We sure have someone watching over us!
