Julian Ride
What a great ride. American flags flew, patriotic T-shirts were abundant, bikes were bright and
shiny; and everyone was friendly, in spite of the gloom shadowing our nation since September 11, 2001.
After various meeting points the majority of the group met at the Look Out above Lake Elsinore, 32 Valks in all.
After some socializing, the pack moved south and east to Dudley's Bakery in Santa
Ysabel. Thanks
to Mel from Dudley's for letting Rob up on the roof for the great shot of all
the bikes.

By this time the group had grown to 58 Valks. The biggest Southern California ride yet, though there was one bike with Arizona plates.

Mark and Lynn brought some of the "We Will Never Forget" shirts.
Proceeds from these shirts are donated to Firefighters and Police Officers
relief fund, and you can order them here.
It was good to see a lot of old friends, and even better to meet lots of people
new to the group. The group rode the 7 miles up the hill to Julian and the Rong Branch Cafe for lunch.
More socializing, a hefty 50/50 drawing (thanks, Stemnut, for donating the goggles
courtesy of Champion Honda). Plus, a raffle for a helmet, donated by
Iceman, with half of the proceeds going to the Firefighters and Police Officers relief fund in New York.
Our thanks to Jeff and Matt (The Captain and Tenille) for organizing a great ride.
We hope to see you all at the Bakersfield Bash in October.
